NASA announced on Friday that it will host MAX POWER, a public aerospace exposition and airshow scheduled for Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 at and near the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and will showcase aircraft, spacecraft, and autonomous systems.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the agency will open the Shuttle Landing Facility to the public for the event. The exposition brings together government officials, commercial aerospace companies, investors, engineers, and pilots to display transportation technologies for air and space.
Flight demonstrations and exhibits
The program includes an airshow featuring NASA aircraft, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and aerial demonstrations conducted by multiple branches of the Department of War. On the ground, exhibits will highlight commercial aviation, next-generation air mobility, autonomous vehicles, and technology demonstrations tied to lunar exploration and plans for a Moon Base.
NASA experts along with Apollo and Artemis astronauts will participate in a guest speaker series during the weekend. Visitors will also have access to behind-the-gates bus tours across Kennedy Space Center facilities, including the Gantry, the Vehicle Assembly Building, and the Apollo Saturn V Center.
Locations and ticketing
Activities will spread across several sites, including the Launch and Landing Facility currently leased by Space Florida, the Apollo Saturn V facility, and the adjacent Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. NASA is collaborating with external partners to run the event, including Air Dot Show, Delaware North, Space Florida, Purpose Entertainment, and UP.Summit.
Attendance requires separate tickets for multiple planned parks and experiences through NASA's website. Media representatives must submit accreditation requests to the Kennedy newsroom by 5 p.m. on Oct. 6.
