Peacock is raising subscription prices across its streaming tiers by up to $3 per month, TechCrunch reported. The cheapest ad-supported Select plan is rising from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The mid-tier Premium plan with advertisements increases from $10.99 to $12.99 monthly, while the ad-free Premium Plus plan is seeing the largest hike, jumping from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.
The updated pricing took effect on August 18, 2026, for all new and returning subscribers, and applies to annual subscriptions as well. Current subscribers will see the price changes reflected on their regular billing date on or after September 17, 2026. This marks the latest in a series of steady rate hikes over recent years, following a prior $3 increase implemented in July 2025.
The streaming service stated on its support page that the higher rates allow the platform “to create the best experience for its viewers, remain competitive in the marketplace, and deliver unique content across all genres.” To draw in more subscribers, the platform has added mobile games, vertical video feeds for NBA broadcasts, and a dedicated “Bravoverse” feed containing clips from reality series such as Love Island. The service is also testing perks for long-term members and will be included in YouTube Premium starting next year.
NBCUniversal, which owns the platform, recently reported that Peacock turned a profit for the first time as its total subscriber count reached 48 million. NBCUniversal and Peacock are both preparing to separate from parent corporation Comcast next year.
