NVIDIA Adds Firefox Browser Support to GeForce NOW

NVIDIA has expanded GeForce NOW to Firefox browsers alongside the addition of 12 PC games to the cloud streaming library.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • NVIDIA added Firefox browser support to GeForce NOW, joining Chrome, Edge, and Opera on Windows.
  • Ultimate tier members can stream via Firefox at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second.
  • NVIDIA added 12 titles to the service library this week, led by BlackMill Games' Gallipoli.
  • Day pass purchase costs can be applied toward subsequent Performance or Ultimate tier memberships.

NVIDIA added Mozilla Firefox support to its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service on Thursday, enabling browser-based game streaming without requiring a dedicated desktop application. Players running the latest version of Firefox can access the service directly through play.geforcenow.com without downloading local game files or waiting for updates.

The integration expands the platform's existing Windows browser support, which already includes Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. NVIDIA stated that GeForce NOW Ultimate tier subscribers can stream supported titles through Firefox at resolutions up to 1440p and frame rates reaching 120 frames per second.

Alongside the browser rollout, NVIDIA announced 12 games arriving on the platform this week, led by BlackMill Games' tactical shooter Gallipoli. The title launched August 20 on Steam as the latest entry in the WW1 Game Series, featuring 25-versus-25 objective battles, 10 character classes, and 50 period-accurate weapons and equipment options.

Several other releases are streaming during the week across multiple PC storefronts. Steam additions include Stars Reach and The Sinking City 2, which both launched August 18, as well as DIVE or DIE – Children of Rain. Titles arriving from Xbox and PC Game Pass include Escape the Backroom, Hell Is Us, The Thaumaturge, and High on Life 2, alongside Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered from the Epic Games Store.

NVIDIA noted that titles become available gradually throughout the week as onboarding completes following store releases. For users testing the browser implementation, NVIDIA offers a day pass option and allows the initial purchase cost to be applied toward an upgrade to a Performance or Ultimate membership tier.
