French Tech Sector Deploys NVIDIA AI Across Space and Industry

French enterprises and public agencies are rolling out autonomous computing systems across satellites, factories, and municipal management, NVIDIA reported.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Altair-1 reached orbit this month as the first satellite in a $1 billion, 50-satellite autonomous constellation.
  • Bullis plans to produce NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 server systems in Europe for 2028.
  • Twake.ai became the referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organizations under the CANUT framework.

French companies are expanding deployments of agentic computing across aerospace, public administration, financial services, and scientific research, NVIDIA reported. The activity follows computing commitments made during the AI Action Summit in February 2025 alongside Choose France Summits held in 2025 and 2026.

Sovereign infrastructure and space

Bullis is extending its European AI server manufacturing to build NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems planned for 2028. The company is producing trays in Europe and handling rack integration at its Angers facility, which opened on Friday, Oct. 2.

Altair-1 reached orbit this month as the first satellite in a planned $1 billion constellation of 50 spacecraft with autonomous systems. Orbitworks, a joint venture between Loft Orbital and Marlan Space, built the satellite in Abu Dhabi before Loft Orbital integrated it. The spacecraft carries NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules running Mistral models to handle real-time Earth observation and orbital operations.

Public organizations across France are adopting sovereign software under a CANUT framework agreement won by LINAGORA and Docaposte. The contract positions Twake.ai, which runs on NVIDIA Nemotron open models, as the sole referenced digital workplace for more than 2,500 public entities. Financial software maker SBS is also preparing a platform with NVIDIA that allows commercial banks to run governed generative and agentic services on private infrastructure.

Commercial and scientific deployments

Consumer brands and digital marketplaces are using the hardware to automate cataloging and design workflows. Mirakl processed more than 70 million products using fine-tuned and open models on NVIDIA processors, cutting merchant onboarding times to less than two hours. L’Oréal integrated NVIDIA ALCHEMI into its laboratories to test chemical formulations in silico, speeding up discovery cycles by up to 100 times compared to physical testing. Marketing platform Omi combined 3D digital twins with optimized models to accelerate visual inference fourfold.

Regional infrastructure operators are deploying digital twins for physical asset management. In Côte-d’Or, ThinkDeep and Akila introduced a monitoring agent running on NVIDIA Cosmos, Nemotron, and Omniverse to oversee nearly 5,800 kilometers of roads and public buildings. The system has lowered operating costs by 10 percent and targets a 30 percent reduction. Port Sud de France is running cargo processing and security through ThinkDeep’s DeepBrain platform.

Telecom and healthcare groups are rolling out localized tools. Paris robotics firm Enchanted Tools is deploying social robots to assist patients in pediatric cancer units. Bouygues Telecom partnered with Prisme.ai to launch AI Studio V2, which gives staff access to build internal software agents.

Quantum computing developers Alice & Bob and Quandela are integrating the NVIDIA NVQLink platform. Alice & Bob uses the link with superconducting cat qubits to improve quantum error correction, while Quandela connects a DGX Spark system to photonic qubits for hybrid computing tests. Fondation Inria is organizing a working group on open-source modeling with findings due in the spring of next year. NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang is scheduled to deliver a keynote at GTC Berlin on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. CEST.
