Google Announces Pixel 11 Lineup With $100 Price Increases

Google's Pixel 11 series features Tensor G6 processors, upgraded cameras, 3,600-nit displays, and standard 256GB storage across four models starting at $899.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Pixel 11 series prices increase by $100 across all four models, with base storage rising to 256GB.
  • Devices ship on August 20, powered by the new Tensor G6 chip offering up to 30-plus hours of battery life.
  • Pixel 11 Pro models feature peak display brightness of 3,600 nits and up to 120x digital zoom.
  • Google added Qi2.2 wireless charging support, providing up to 25W charging on the Pixel 11.

Google formally announced its Pixel 11 smartphone lineup on August 12, introducing four devices that will begin shipping on August 20, as reported independently by TechCrunch. The lineup comprises the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Every phone in the series sees a $100 price increase compared to last year's models.

The base Pixel 11 starts at $899, as Google eliminated the 128GB storage option in favor of a 256GB base model paired with 12GB of RAM. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL start at $1,099 for 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, down from 16GB standard last year. Buyers seeking 16GB of RAM on the Pro models must upgrade to the 512GB or 1TB models. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899, offering 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage standard.

Hardware and displays

A redesigned camera bar across the series uses a single piece of glass that reduces the bar's thickness by over 40 percent on the entry model. When paired with one of Google's cases, the camera bar on the Pixel 11 becomes flush with the back. The entire lineup operates on the Tensor G6 chipset, which Google states is up to 20 percent more efficient and delivers over 30 hours of battery life.

Displays on the Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold reach a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. On the Pro Fold, Google introduced a composite back material, a thicker inner glass display, and narrow inner bezels. The company states these structural changes make the foldable device three times more durable than the previous generation.

Wireless charging across the line adopts the Qi2.2 standard. The system provides up to 25W charging on the Pixel 11, marking a 25 percent speed increase over the 15W maximum on the Pixel 10, while wireless charging on the Pro Fold is up to 20 percent faster.

Camera features and colors

The Pixel 11 camera system pairs a 48MP wide sensor with 56 percent higher light gathering capability alongside a 5x telephoto lens capable of 30x digital zoom. The Pixel 11 Pro features a 50MP main sensor designed for lower power consumption and a 48MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.95-inch sensor that increases light sensitivity by 30 percent. Digital zoom on the Pro models extends up to 120x, powered by the image signal processor in the Tensor G6 chip. Night Sight capture on Pro devices operates up to 4.5 times faster, averaging three times faster overall.

Software additions include Camera Looks, which adjusts sensor-level processing settings such as sharpness and contrast, and Magic Capture, which automatically extracts video clips and still images from recordings. Google also added a Creator Suite inside the camera app, offering social media framing guides, speech enhancement, a teleprompter, and automatic video folder structures.

A new RGB LED ring called HiLight replaces the temperature sensor on the camera bar of the Pro and Pro Fold models. The ring glows blue during interactions with Gemini and can display custom lighting alerts for selected contacts calling through WhatsApp or the native Phone app. Color options for the Pixel 11 include purple, green, black, and magenta, while the Pro models come in olive, light blue, canyon, and black with matte side rails. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be available in olive and black.
