NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang secured the top spot on Glassdoor’s 2026 Best CEOs list with a 99% employee approval rating, NVIDIA reported on August 12. Glassdoor determines its rankings directly from employee ratings and anonymous reviews submitted on its site.
Glassdoor reintroduced the CEO list this year after a five-year hiatus, replacing its Best-Led Companies ranking. NVIDIA had previously placed No. 1 on the Best-Led Companies list in 2025 and also took the top ranking on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in Technology and AI in January.
Technology led all sectors on the 2026 list with nine CEOs included among the top 50, followed by real estate, financial services, and manufacturing. Glassdoor noted that 28 of the 50 winning CEOs also lead companies featured on its 2026 Best Places to Work list.
Four executives joined Huang in the top five rankings: Jason Johnson of Quick Quack Car Wash, Kevin A. Lobo of Stryker, Alan D. Schnitzer of Travelers, and Chris Czarnecki of Keller Williams.
Daniel Zhao, chief economist at Glassdoor, said in a statement that senior leadership ratings across the platform have fallen to their lowest level in nearly a decade. Glassdoor stated that the recognized CEOs distinguished themselves by maintaining clear communication, grounding their work in company mission, and building trust during job market uncertainty.
Anonymous employee feedback published by Glassdoor highlighted NVIDIA's engineering culture, collaborative environment, and work on AI technology. Employees cited people-first leadership and freedom in career paths as key aspects of the workplace experience.
Glassdoor evaluated company reviews submitted by U.S. employees between May 16, 2025, and May 15, 2026, to determine the final rankings. NVIDIA's update also noted recent developments, including an August 11 announcement on open-source AI models and an August 8 launch of the CIS region's largest AI factory in Armenia with partner Firebird.
