At the Google I/O 2026 event, Google introduced new ways and places where users can access Google AI Studio. Google stated that the platform allows individuals to bring software ideas to life even if they are not seasoned developers or lack a background in software engineering.
Creation Process
To demonstrate the platform's capabilities, a Google editor with zero coding background created the quiz directly in Google AI Studio. The editor began the project by using Gemini to generate a prompt for Google AI Studio that matched the exact quiz design envisioned.
During the prompt generation step, the editor uploaded reference sources into Gemini, including official company announcements and visual design inspiration. Gemini delivered a specific prompt, which the editor then imported into Google AI Studio.
Interface and Features
Inside Google AI Studio, the editor refined the prompt based on visual previews generated by the tool. Once the layout was finalized through these previews, the editor added the actual text for the pop quiz questions.
The final project, titled Google I/O 2026: Pop Quiz, allows users to click various icons to answer questions about Google I/O announcements. The quiz covers topics including new Gemini models, updates to Google Search, and additional product releases detailed at the conference.
