Circular has unveiled its Ring 3 smart ring series, adding contactless payment capabilities and haptic vibration alerts across two hardware variants, TechCrunch reported. The lineup succeeds the Ring 2, which debuted at CES 2025 with upgraded sensors and FDA-cleared atrial fibrillation tracking.
Both new models integrate a near-field communication chip, allowing wearers to make contactless payments directly from the hand. Circular also incorporated vibrating alerts into both devices to support silent alarms, medication reminders, and guided breathing exercises.
The Ring 3 Pro features a slimmer profile than its predecessor, using titanium on both the inner and outer structures for increased durability. Circular offers the Pro model in gold, rose gold, silver, and black finishes. Battery run time on the Pro lasts up to 12 days on a single charge—an increase from the seven days provided by the Ring 2—despite utilizing a smaller capacity battery. A companion wireless charging case can recharge the Pro five to six times before the case itself requires a wall outlet.
The Ring 3 Slim uses a narrower, thinner, and lighter band built with a nonmetallic biocompatible epoxy on the interior rather than titanium. The Slim model provides up to 10 days of battery life. It retains photoplethysmography sensors to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, heart rate variability, skin temperature, sleep, and daily activities, but it omits the electrocardiogram sensor and atrial fibrillation detection present on the Pro.
Circular did not announce pricing for either model. The company expects both the Pro and Slim versions to become available in early 2027.
