Nvidia announced AI advancements across Southeast Asia during its AI Day event held September 22-23 at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore, according to a report published by Nvidia.
Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology Agency is researching the Nvidia Nemotron 3 Super and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni models for public safety applications. NCS is adopting agentic AI using Nemotron models and Nvidia blueprints for video search and summarization, while ST Engineering uses NeMo tools and cuOpt software for its AI Studio platform.
Malaysia’s YTL AI Labs and Vietnam’s Viettel AI are fine-tuning Nemotron models for enterprise and citizen services. Thailand’s iApp Technology adapted Nemotron 3 Nano for its Thanoy legal chatbot, which serves about 43,000 users. Brunei’s Antrique built an AI platform to boost productivity in the nation's food sector, and Malaysia’s ITMAX uses Nvidia Cosmos open world models with video search blueprints for city traffic operations.
Hardware and Enterprise Adoption
Sea Limited adopted the Nvidia Vera Rubin platform, making it the first enterprise in the ASEAN region to use the hardware. Sea deployed AI across its Shopee, Monee, and Garena platforms to manage product listings, fraud detection, and gaming experiences.
AI Singapore expanded its SEA-LION model family to include Nvidia Nemotron open models and NeMo tools. Hummingbird Bioscience and LynxKite built a Toxicity Knowledge Graph using Nemotron 3.5 Lightning and NeMo Retriever. Bitdeer AI co-hosted an Open Models AI Codefest with Nvidia to provide GPU cloud infrastructure for developers in the region.
FPT Smart Cloud codeveloped Nemotron-Personas-Vietnam, an open dataset based on local demographic data. Brunei firm Antrique launched its platform to target productivity gains in the food industry.
